Baking isn't for the lazy or weak. The craft takes a lot of patience, especially when you've forgotten to soften your butter to room temperature and preheat your stove to 350 degrees. Patience isn't a virtue, fortunately—you can learn to watch a pot and still have it boil (though it might feel a lot longer). A good way to waste some time is to go over all of the recipes you want to try but know you won't get to until next Christmas. It's difficult being so curious…

21 Baking Memes for Witty Women Whisking Their Little Hearts Out
If there's one thing that bakers are going to do, it'd find an occasion to bake for (even if there really aren't any). The good thing about this is that you don't need an occasion to bake your little heart out! Buttercream icing and fluffy yellow sponge cake is suitable for a random Tuesday afternoon, and for my ladies with a sweet tooth: We know you're down for a bite or two (or three) of sugary goodness whenever you can.
How about cupcakes for breakfast, cake for lunch, and some good tartes for dinner? I recently baked cupcakes inspired by Magnolia Bakery, and let me tell you… I probably shouldn't have trusted my hand mixer. I'm not fancy enough for a stand mixer, but I recommend one to my veteran bakers reading this (and you likely already have one). If you're looking forward to making a blueberry lemon tart this spring to leave out for the Easter Bunny, scroll below!
